Six editions in. The story is just beginning.
The World Storytelling Championship is the global stage built by ACEnovation and the Blu Hornbill Club for storytellers of every age, every language, and every country.
How WSTC began
In 2020, the Blu Hornbill Club was founded on a simple belief: every person carries a story worth telling, and every culture deserves a stage to tell it on. From small storytelling circles in Singapore and Chennai, the movement grew across South Asia and beyond.
The first World Storytelling Championship launched in 2021 as a single, lightly-run competition. By the fifth edition, WSTC had hosted storytellers from sixteen countries — from Namibia and Mexico to South Korea and Poland — and a vision had taken shape: a Storytelling Olympics for the world.
The 6th edition (2026) is the largest scale yet. New countries are joining; new vernacular championships are forming; and a brand-new digital platform — the one you are using right now — has been built so that judging, scoring, and round-promotion are transparent and globally consistent.
Why storytelling
Storytelling teaches what curriculum cannot. It builds confidence, empathy, structure and voice in a way few other practices do.
For a four-year-old, it is the first time she sees adults listen as if her words matter. For an adult learner, it is the moment of remembering that he, too, has a story worth telling. For a community, it is the bridge between generations.
WSTC celebrates the practice in every form — bedtime stories, performance pieces, spoken-word, oral traditions, classroom narrative — and judges all of them on the same rubric: craft, voice, content, engagement, impact.

A platform built for fairness, not flash.
We've built the WSTC platform on five principles: transparent scoring, locked-after-confirm judging, country-scoped data access, accessible entry pricing, and explicit consent for minors. Every score is auditable. Every payment is reconciled. Every participant is protected.
