FAQ

Everything we get asked.

Who can register for WSTC 2026?

Anyone aged 3 and above, from anywhere in the world. We have seven categories — Junior I/II/III, Senior I/II, Open, and Special Needs — so there's a category for every age and ability.

How much does it cost?

The entry fee varies by country to keep the championship accessible. India ₹99. Singapore S$5. Other countries the local equivalent of US$3-5. You pay once per round you advance to.

My child is under 18 — what do I need to do?

Register on their behalf. We require explicit parental consent (DPDP/PDPA/COPPA-compliant) and a verified parent email. You can manage multiple children from one parent account.

When do I upload my video?

Video submissions open 1 October 2026 and close on 30 October 2026. You'll have the full month. Don't wait until the last day — uploads spike in the final 72 hours.

What language can I tell my story in?

Any language. We have judges across 16 countries who can score in your language. We celebrate language diversity — storytelling does not belong to English alone.

What's the video format?

MP4, MOV, or WebM. Maximum 200 MB. Maximum 3 minutes. Mobile or DSLR recording is fine — judges care about the story, not the production value.

How is my story judged?

By a panel of country judges scoring against a published rubric: craft, voice, content, engagement, overall impact. Scores are locked after confirm — they can't be edited, ensuring fairness.

What do I win?

Country champions advance to the World Championship. The top 3 in each category at the World round receive WSTC trophies and Hall of Fame entries. Positions 4-10 receive consolation prizes.

Can my school register a group of students?

Yes. Contact your Country Representative or write to [email protected] for group registration help.

I'm a working professional — am I eligible?

Absolutely. The Open category (19+) is built for adults — including educators, corporate professionals and parents. Tell the story you've been carrying.
