1. Agreement
By registering for or participating in the World Storytelling Championship (WSTC), you agree to these Terms. WSTC is operated by Blu Hornbill Holdings Pte Ltd (Singapore) and ACEnovation (India), collectively "WSTC", "we", "us".
2. Your account
- You must provide accurate information when registering.
- If you register on behalf of a minor, you confirm you are the parent or legal guardian and provide your verified consent.
- You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure. Notify us at [email protected] immediately if you suspect unauthorised access.
3. Submissions
- You retain all copyright and intellectual property rights in your submitted video and story.
- You grant WSTC a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to use, reproduce, display, and distribute your submission for the purpose of running the championship, judging, promotional and educational content, Hall of Fame and archival purposes.
- You confirm your submission is your own original work and does not infringe anyone else's rights.
- AI-generated or substantially-plagiarised submissions are disallowed and result in disqualification.
4. Conduct
- No hate speech, violence, sexual content, or material harmful to minors.
- No falsification of identity, country, age category, or parental consent.
- No attempts to defeat the judging system (scripts, multiple accounts, etc).
- Violations may result in disqualification and a permanent platform ban without refund.
5. Fees & refunds
- Entry fees are per-round and country-tiered. See Rules & Regulations for the table.
- Fees are non-refundable except where we cancel the championship, where you are disqualified through no fault of your own, or where you withdraw before the round opens for judging.
- Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method within 7-14 business days.
6. Prizes
- Prize structure is described in the Rules.
- WSTC reserves the right to verify the identity of any prize winner before awarding prizes.
- Prizes are non-transferable. Cash equivalents are not offered unless explicitly stated.
7. Disqualification & disputes
- WSTC reserves the right to disqualify any participant who breaches these Terms.
- Scoring disputes must be raised within 7 days of round results being published. Disputes are reviewed by an independent panel; their decision is final.
- WSTC will not engage in disputes about subjective judging preferences — judges score under a published rubric in good faith.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, WSTC, its officers, employees, partners and country representatives are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your participation or use of the platform.
9. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Singapore for participants outside India, and the laws of India for participants registered with Indian addresses. Disputes are resolved by the courts of the governing jurisdiction.
10. Changes
We may update these Terms; material changes will be notified to registered participants. The version in effect at the time of your registration governs your participation in that edition.
